Meet the Staff at Pisgah
Pastor-TeacherDoug Richey has served as Pisgah’s Pastor-Teacher since 2005. He earned a B.S. in Finance from Central Missouri State University in ’94. Doug subsequently earned an M.Div. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in ’00 and is currently a candidate for an M.A. in Biblical Languages. Doug also serves as a Trustee for Missouri Baptist University and is President for both the National Alumni Association for MBTS and the Pastors' Conference for the Missouri Baptist Convention. Married in March of ’96, Doug and his wife Jennifer are the proud parents of 2 daughters, Brennan and Olivia. Fountain pens and foreign language translations of the Bible are objects of Doug’s collecting pursuits. Doug’s primary desire in ministry is to faithfully proclaim the Word of God. |

Associate Pastor
Gary Barkley has served on staff at Pisgah Baptist since 2003. In 2008 due to a reorganization of staff positions, Gary became Associate Pastor. He earned a B.S. in Church Ministry from Liberty University in 1992. Prior to 2008, Gary worked bi-vocationally for the church, in the Grocery distribution business and as Secretary-Treasurer/Business Representative for Teamsters Local 955. He has served in leadership positions in Heartland Association and also in the Missouri Baptist Convention serving on the Executive Board from 2001-2007 where he was Chairman of the Inter-Agency Relations Committee from 2004-2007.
Gary has been a member of Pisgah since 1979 and is married to Diane who faithfully serves with him. They have three daughters, Emily, Katie, and Beth. Gary’s desire in ministry is to serve the church by serving others.
Worship Pastor
Mark D. Spohn was born in Trenton, MO on January 9, 1958. He has been exposed to the gospel message all of his life, but surrendered to the Lordship of Christ and trusted Him completely for salvation in November of 1984. He has been a member of Pisgah Baptist Church since that day. Mark has served as a bi-vocational worship minister since 2001; he served as volunteer worship leader prior to that as well as Singles Ministry Director. Mark has approximately two years of college education and seminary experience at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. He and his wife Anna Sue have two sons, Nicolas and Matthew.
Student Minister
Antuan Peppers was called to serve in Pisgah's student ministry in September of 2008. He earned a B.S. in Sociology from Southwest Baptist University in 2003. Married in April of 2005, Antaun and his wife Kimberlee are thankful parents of Madison Peppers and Isaiah Peppers. Antaun’s focus in ministry is to disciple students carefully so they may come to understand and know Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Director of the Sanctuary Choir
Greg Gilmore has served as Pisgah's choir director since 2005. He earned the Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Music (vocal performance) degrees from Central Missouri State University in May of '96. He then completed a Master of Music degree with an emphasis in choral conducting at the University of Missouri-Columbia in '98. He has taught eight years in Missouri public schools and currently teaches sixth grade vocal and general music at Fire Prarie Middle School within the Fort Osage School District. Greg married Gwendolyn in June of '95 and they have three daughters, Emilyn, Alyse and Kirstyn. Greg's desire in ministry is to provide meaningful worship through song.
